Hello~~~~~
If you come from the Studying Amino you probably have a background story....
However, if you just reading here first... I want to share 4 tips on breaking a circle of demotivation and find your way to study all motivated!
- Organize yourself in your to dos!
That is make a list of the stuff you have to do according with due dates. Plan it for the week what you have to do. I made that planner as a try out & it actually works! I have my bullet journal but having a peace of loose paper and cute that I can just juggle down all my to dos that are quite a lot seems less clutter in my a5 bujo. So that’s why I just decided for this template.Im sure u will find better ones all around the internet. Check out the emmastudies printables they are inspiration! 👌🏽 or if u wanna use mine
- Set a timer with 10, 15 or 25 minutes!
Yes the pomodoro technique. There are millions of blogs about it. However, in my opinion if I really don’t feel like studying set your timer for ten minutes a go ahead study at least ten minutes. After that you will notice you have to continue on finish that you already started. Then set your timer again for ten minutes without a pause. If those ten minutes have ended and you still feel like you can go for one more round of 10 then go for it. You will have added 30 minutes already and you have won a break! After doing this stop and be mindful that you have already started with so little. The other I saw Studyquill’s video saying to start studying with two minutes! check out that video!
- Taking breaks!
Breaks can be as much as you need but I recommend that your first break should consist on 5 minutes as you may still have does procrastination levels hiding somewhere in ya. Your second break can be looking for a snack. I am not completely informed about healthy snack but this community has blogs about that. What I snack includes coffee, sandwich, fruits, cheese, nuts or just food xD
- Journal
Journal? Yeah Journal your feelings about studying. This are the questions I do to myself (keep in mind I am somewhat a therapist so I tend to look for the root of the negative thought in my own self xD) I made a printable about it too so really go check that mini self test called "Looking for the root of my study demotivation".
Well that’s it from me… I hope this was helpful. This are my own experiences and has worked out for me. I’m still in the middle process of finishing my review for board but hey I already feel much better than at the beggining! Hope you get to feel that way too!.
Marie~
